This is the third drawing in the series of Bizarre Facts About Famous Men. Some day, I’d like to create a BFAFM drawing about each of the U. S. presidents.

Adams sent passages from his diary to Philadelphia while he was visiting France as a record of the progress he was making with the French. He wrote effusively about how hospitable the French aristocracy was and how much they complimented him. Some members of congress found his Francophilic, epistolary enthusiasm quite droll, indeed.
It’s hard to find much information on his dog Satan, other than it was mixed breed and his wife Abigail had another mixed breed dog named Juno. Unsure of how Satan looked in reality, I decided to portray him as a real hellraiser.
